ProtoArray® Human Protein Microarray – find new immune response markers
Biomarkers play an important role in helping increase the effectiveness of targeted therapeutics. Today, antibody biomarkers are used in the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases as indicators of infection, for example. Upstream high-content biomarker discovery tools are essential if the clinical development of predictive biomarker panels is to realize its full potential.
Thermo Fisher Scientific’s ProtoArray® Human Protein Microarray allows immune response biomarker profiling (IRBP) of over 9,000 proteins in a single assay platform. As both a commercially available product and a service, it lets researchers rapidly screen samples from various sources in an IRBP discovery project to identify potential biomarker candidates. Once a target subset is selected, downstream validation is performed using the ProtoPlex® Immune Response Assay, based on Luminex® technology, which offers a higher sample throughput option with multiplexing of up to 50 custom antigens per reaction.
